Output transformers

Greetings everyone,
So...if I had a 100 watt transformer with a 1900 ohm primary and a 4 ohm secondary, if I put an 8 ohm load on the secondary, I should have a 3800 ohm primary. My question is, is there anything wrong with doing that if I needed a 3800 ohm primary?

Thanks,
Ray

Yes, it will work. The maximum voltage remains the same for core saturation, so it will be a 50W transformer at the low end. There will probably be enough inductance for good low-frequency response, and copper loss will be low. Inter-winding capacitance MAY limit the high end, though leakage inductance won't be a problem.
