The OQO's Model 01's LCD screen would probably make for an excellent mini-DIY projector -- smaller than the Lilliput-based -- if anyone made a display that took VGA or video inputs.
Specs are 5-inch diagonal transreflective (TFT), 800x480 WVGA native resolution.
*Someone* has to be making this panel for OQO, so unless it's a completely custom piece of hardware (which I doubt), the corporate laws of economics would want it to be in as many devices as possible to drive down its cost to manufacture (and purchase).

yes, and you can probably use a delta style lens (like the fujinon lens). Know any specs or prices?
Nice find Tony, though i think it will be a pain to try and set up as its not a transmisive lcd, atleast though with your find we are now seeing the wvga format coming out on smaller high reso lcds.

Been looking around and found a possibly identical TFT being used in the Samsung Nexio S160
Their specs say it's a 64k color panel... <sigh>

Didn't find it on any of Samsung's websites, but Solar Technologies (and Horizon Technology) claim that there are two 5-inch WVGA TFT panels manufactured by Samsung: the LTS500W1-PB3-0 and the LTS500W1-PB2. According to them, there are no other 5-inch WVGA TFT panels in existence.
