i am new to open baffle design with isophon driver.
I plan to build one with 2 pairs of isophon p18/C 180cm driver and a pair of isophon tweeter H10.
a) Do anyone use them for open baffle? How do they sound?
b) Have their TS parameter measured?
c) what is the effect of serially connect two p180 together? any effect on the sound? Which is better - to connect it serially or parallely?
I will get 8 Ohm for serial and 2 ohm if connect in parallel right?
Will these affect the Fs and Qts? 2 ohm seem not very friendly to the amp.
d) what size of baffle sound i used? with wings?
e) how should i arrange the driver?
- place the tweeter between two p18 or
- place the tweeter on top and two p18 at the lower.
- or place the tweeter at the lower part?
f) should i cross the tweeter with a capacitor?
- if yes what value should i use?
- how to calculate the capacitor value coresponding to the frequency i wish to cross...?
