I tripped, fell and accidentally purchased a giant lot of tubes 'n' other goodies. I can't recall how I first caught the tube bug but never the less here I am. Sooooo, now I have a hangar full of tubes of all kinds and conditions. I kinda have an unlimited supply of a variety tubes to play with. While I don't expect to find large lots of the popular tubes, they are popping up here and there. I have have barely scratched the surface though so I have high hopes to find some gems as I make my way through them.
I hope of find fun and interesting ways to use what I find. AF amps, RF amps, power supplies, etc. etc... I am a ham, somewhat of an audiophile (ok, not really) and have a decent understanding of electronics and have been boning up on tube knowledge. My hope is to enjoy the journey of learning more about electronics, "vintage" electronics and tubes 'n' stuff. I think I have most of the basics covered from a tools and test equipment standpoint and I aquired a few chassis with the lot of tubes so now I just need to pick a project and get started.
So by now my reason for being here should be relatively obvious. I need to absorb some of that juicy knowledge from y'all and hopefully share my journey along the way!

Took me two days and four guys to move. I'm guessing it's about 100-120k of tubes, maybe more. Kinda crazy but I have been know to take giant leaps without looking on occasion...

Fun thing is I happen to have two of the amplifiers seen in IMG_3471. Came from a Wurlitzer organ cabinet.
Also the chassis in the back likely went to power low voltage controls in the organ. Note the big nasty selenium rectifier.

@Stuey The purchase was somewhat serendipitous I suppose. I was picking up an ebay purchase and walked into I can only describe as a "picker's paradise". The gentleman had closed down his amp repair business and he had all these tubes left over. I asked if he knew if he had any audio power tubes and then next thing I knew we were discussing the purchase of everything he would part with. One thing led to another and well, we came to an agreement. I had no intention of doing such a thing but I guess things happen for a reason.
Hopefully I can be a good stuard of this piece of history and get a few fun projects out of it! Perhaps even help a few others with their projects along the way.
@daqvin_carter You are correct sir! Two 6420s and one 6150, the power supply and a "junction box". The two amps I hope to restore and modify to use as mono blocks.
