Out of interest I thought I would post my plots comparing the 416 to the 515 in my onken enclosures.
Couple of notes:
REW is only accurate down to 230hz, for a gated response, however I read a work around is to put the mic right in the port. So the extra curve is the port. Not particularly accurate but good for comparison. The differences are audible.
One caveat to to the traditional onken is I plugged the middle 2 ports, so only 4 are firing. I may remove the plugs if anyone is interested. The reason I did that was I found it peaky around 60hz, and wanted it tuned deeper. My boxes are 1" less wide and 1" less deep because when made, I had to fit on 5x5' sheets (so hence the slightly higher tuning freq than the original plans. Some may claim heresy, but hey, at least I made them!
Both speakers were the same input level. I'm not sure why the 515 is so much louder. GPA cone on 416. Original 515 cone. I Didn't measure with them so close, that was just for the photo.

Are these real 416 woofers or 420s reconed as 416? Important to know. I see on does not have the vented dustcap.
I didn't have them in Onken boxes, but when I had both 416 8C and 5158g, the 416 8C had better bass with passive, unequalized crossover. The difference was enough I sold the 515 8G drivers. At the time of purchase, both had original cones. Later, due to a cat-astrophy involving my puss cat, they were reconed. Bad puddy cat! Now the 416 8c have screens over them.🙂

What is it with cats and speakers???
I don't know.....sweet cat, but A7s were hooked up to a tube amp, slight hum......he stared at it for a second, then rushed it grabbing the driver with all four sets of claws!
The other one got its dust cover pulled off....protective screens used now.

Yes, they are 421 baskets with 416-8 GPA cones and voicecoil.
