Hi all.
I am now the not so proud owner of two non functioning nview z310 panels. One panel simply flashes with all its lights when it is powered on, and the other panel seems to work just fine....all of its menus on the tiny backlight lcd work fine, it detects the correct input signal from my computer, it just fails to display an image...ever.
I'm open to any and all repair or selling questions as i either want to get these to work or sell them as fast as i can. Thanks for all your help.

Hello I currently have a Nview 310 that works, What lights flash when you have the panel plugged in? does anything come on the small LCD or the screen. On the one that Shows the commands on the LCD screen does the Nview splash screen even show up on the big lcd? have you tried to swapp the LCD from the bad panel into the one with the Working Small lcd? if not try that, Or open up both of the panels and see if something is loose? Respond back and I will see if I can be of any more help.
hey, i opened up the lcd with no picture and discovered that a simple cable had come loose and fixed that and now it works like a charm!! the other lcd is still doa tho, as i have opened it up and discovered that it looks different from the working one and it has a sharp lcd in it...is that right? Oh, and when i power this non working one up, the mini lcd screen flashes like once a second and the fan spins very slowly and pulsates in sync with the flashing lcd.....also, the little red led on the side flashes with the mini lcd too. thanks for your help
Good deal glad to hear the one one of them is working now, The other one sounds fried to me but might as well keep tinkering around with it...you cant hurt it congrats

Hey ZAM, I did But after playing around with the Nview controals I fixed the problem. Cant tell you what Exactly everything is set to Because I sold it( great panel But 500.00 was more alluring) LOL just keep playing with the Phase and focus etc.
MBAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY are you still here did you get the video cable with the 310 you have, can you get the pinouts of the cable for me? I could really use them, Im thinking the " quick Fix" for the Nview panels only works for lower res ones, please get back to me. thanks
to test it you would need a voltmeter and you would puit one probe on one pin on one end and check what pin on the other side connects to it. There should be a setting on most volt meters to do this.thanks for any further help

Dough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do you you know anyone whom does? would you let me borrow your cable to do the testing at my house( i will borrow a Volt meter) let me know whats your thinking.
hey video freak
i am using a standard vga cable with a pc to mac adaptor on my z310.these are easily available at any computer store for a few dollars.
hope this helps
can anyone help me with vertical lines i have tried every setting possible the only thing i can think of is the power supply i am using (i made it from an old computer powersupply). the pic seems to breakdown vertically when there is movement.
thanks all

i had the breakdown too, it seemed to be because that panel has a very slow response time....not suited for movies or home theater IMO.
On a better note, I have since sold my lcd panel and overhead and now awaiting the arrival of a crt projector....😱 🙂
I couldn't take the terrible screen door effect and the inability of the panel to produce black...gray shadows are not pretty. Also, I have discovered that crt's have much better color depth and control, and can be had starting as low as $500. DIY may be fun, but quality is still king in my book, no matter how it is achieved. And for a similar price to a very nice lcd/overhead setup for a superior picture with crt, I was converted in about 5 nanoseconds. If you go for one too, just be sure to do your homework on crt wear. It's not too hard to find ones with little or moderate wear that is still unnoticeable. Next step: DIY screen.....reason? Blackout cloth painted with special paint mixture gives huge almost 100" screen that easily rivals a $800 Dalite or similar....all for less than 1/10th the price. w00t

its just that there are a lot of people using this panel and they say it works well for them .could it be my powersupply.i am using a computer powersupply and i noticed in the powersupply thread transport97 says the voltages are 5.9v +12v -12 but i only have 5.0v +12V -12V could .9v make a difference? anyway im almost convinced to go th crt route i just might playaround with my panel first as it cost me a small fortune to have it shipped to australia from the US. not to mention the cost of the panel itself.

but if anyone in australia is interested i might be persuaded to sell it for a decent price or i might sell on ebay.
what crt are you getting . when you get it can you post a few pic of it in action . let us know your opinion. good luck with it.
