i just got an nview spectra with an OHP. but i seem to have problem with the spectra, when i put a composite input from a dvd or television , the image starts to flicker up and down very rapidly, even though i can see an image flickering up and down i doesnt seem to be in color. i also tried plugging my pc to it, apprantly it didnt come with a vga cable, but it did come with a mac II cable, and a vga converter cable and i still get the same problem. i tried pressing all the buttons including the horizontal and vertical adjustment and holding all the buttons but it didnt help. i tried searching the forum but didnt find anything. i also get a green screen when nothing is plugged in, is this normal. any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks
I would suggestmaking sure your adapter is the right voltage/amperage. Some nViews have been known to be sold with a replacement adapter. Not having enough juice often causes Spectras to flicker/distort the image. The original adapter says "PLUG-IN CLASS 2 TRANSFORMER", is made by nView, and outputs 12volts and 1.5amps. You just need a 12v 1.5a adapter of any type. An adapter with these specs can probably be accquired at any electronics store, and certainly online. The adapter plug the Spectra uses is very common.
Hi Ehuwiko,
I got my panels with two original AC-adapters... Both seem not to change the situation... I also tried the AC-adapter of my linedoubler which has nearly the same specs and still there was that flickering going on.
Any other ideas?
I think it is the VGA-Cable...

From the looks of it, it seems to be a problem handling pal video (i take it that is what you use). But It not working on pc is odd.
It's no PAL problem... My linedoubler gets the PAL-signal and makes a VGA 60Hz signal out of it. It can't be that.
I think it is the cable...
