I want to learn more about the theories and concepts of NOS DAC implementation. I am NOT looking for links to tried and tested projects that are already out there, nor am I am looking at a debate of NOS v/s OS. For example, the two things that I want to know more regarding NOS DACs are -
What is the idea behind running parallel dacs ? What does that really do ?
What about the analog LPF ? Do NOS DACs have one ? or none at all ?

On my website there is an explanation and measurements on the paralel thing
Filter: Mostly there is no real filter. Actually the equipment after the dac, Interlinks, amplifier, speakers, are filter enough. When in doubt you can add a capacitor parallel over the I/V R
so far without (but I do run Tube amplifiers, which filter any way) I did not "need" any further filtering

So the paralleling is just for acheiving linearity, correct ? And if there was a non-os dac that was perfectly linear across the board then you wouldn't need to run parallel dacs. Is my understanding of this correct ?
