Just joined hoping to find some answers on project I'm taking on. I have a few Nikko amps, one of which I recently changed out the burnt out lamps (I thought I'd start with something simple). Another older receiver I have (Sherwood S7110B) has a slight hum in the background and thought I would start replacing some capacitors, starting with the power supply. There are two 38v 6800uF caps. I looked on a few sites and as I guessed, can't make heads or tails out what is all available. Aside from the values on the side of the original cap, how do I know what type of capacitor it is? There is also "CEO2W" indicated as well as a directional indication of polarity. Looking forward to poking around on the site.

Hi Erich, you might want to take your questions over to the appropriate forum rather than here in the Intro section. Good luck.
