Anyone any experince with these?
Got a pair some years back- looking for impressions if any ideas how to best use them great all advice much welcome.
Didn't have much for amps for a while, had to tackle other stuff. Tossed on an s5electronics 8 watt tube amp last year, this year got a gainclone too. Both really opened them up but not much to compare them to, just a 100 Technics receiver.
Really something if get 'em right, image around the sides to from behind the "ribbons".

R30
Hi
The R30 is a stunning ribbon driver. It is robust and when used with a high quality capacitor (Hovland or better) the clarity and imaging is exceptional.
I have also found that the R30 work with lightweight amps but hook up a heavyweight amp then the soundstage depth just get's better.
Careful scrutiny also shows these driivers very seldom appear on the second hand market.
