HI ALL!!!
I am a hungarian boy.
I can't buy small LCD panel in my country, but I want to build a projector.
I thought that I will buy a TFT monitor with 1024x768 resolution.
With that panel+a fresnel lens+metal halide bulb+lens I build my projector. What do you think? Sorry, but I don't speak (and write) english very well.
thanks: Johnny

sounds like a plan! most of us use overhead projectors for everything you said above, plus the LCD. Quite a few people take apart regular LCD computer monitors and put them onto of the fresnel plate on the overhead projector. I heard an easy monitor to take apart is the NEC 1545v... and it's also good quality. Are you going to hook it straight into a computer's VGA output? If not, you might want to consider getting a TV-4000 that will convert almost any video source into 1024x768 resolution.
