New (?) Distortion Circuit

Hi - I was trying some things, and found a new way of providing an adjustable clipping function. The thing is, this is very different from diode clipping, but it still will definitely generate harmonics due to its non linearity.

Note: the schematic would need a series resistance added. I will sim that and post after the below plot, which shows the input current as a function of voltage. The pot value is stepped from 2k to 48 k in 12k steps

clipper spectrum

WHile the clipping looks very mild, the spectrum goes out well past 20kHz.

Looks very similar to soft limiter in NAD amplifiers.
