I am looking to replace the clock on my sound processor with something better. It does not need to be a surface mount but if so here is a picture. It has a solder joint on each end. Any info/advice is appreciated. 24.576mhz is the stock.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Does it need replacing, and would replacing it improve things...And how would you know without some serious kit to measure what changes and whether there are any improvements.
I upgraded the clocks on my ESI Juli@ XTe sound card with a Fidelity Audio Micro Clock 2. I powered the Micro Clock from my low noise 12V supply rather than from the card. It was a very worthwhile modification.
