I've made a couple of high power designs based on the Zetex ZXCD1000 controller but without feedback thus THD performance was rather poor. However this is not the case with this new design THD+N <0.01% @ 100W - looks very interresting....
The fact that the ZXCD1000 integrates the triwave generator and the pwm comparator in a single package solves quite a few layout issues otherwise encountered with more "descrete" solutions. Of course the layout of the power stage needs some attention too but nevertheless you'll have a good starting point.

The press release seems to indicate the 500W amp uses feedback taken after the filter. Also, it states that all output devices are N-channel so some type of gate driver must be used since the ZXCD1000 cannot drive 4 N-channel FETs by itself. Very interesting...
