SEAS FA22 is one of my 2 favourite 8” FRs. They do benifit from phase plugs: http://www.planet10-hifi.com/downloads/B200-phase-plug.pdf The bases of the plugs need a couple notches to clea rthe non-flat parts of the pole piece.
But not so sure about this particular TL, it does work well sealed.
