I am thinking to replace the C1 25uF, 25V non polar capacitor on my power amp. A 25uF, 25V non polar is very hard to find. I wonder can I replace it with a polystyrene or polypropylene capacitor to improve the sound coming out from the power amp.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
25uF in that position is a silly value for a DC blocking capacitor.
Around 2.7uF will give a ~ 3Hz -3dB downpoint. Most film caps
are far higher voltage than 25V, minimum being 100V typical.

Hi Sreten,
That what I think too. The current capacitance value of C1 is unnecessary for blocking DC. Just want to play it on the safe side. Do you folks see the function of C1 besides blocking DC?
