Need some serious help

I hope some lighting expert can help me with this.

I have the luman lab lighting kit which I haven't used much, I have only fired it up once in a while for 5-10 mins or so for alignment purposes while I was building my box.
Now that I am almost done building the box, I fired up the bulb for a longer time, but I notice the light is flickering, and it doesn't seem to stablize after 20 mins, is the flickering normal in the beginning? how long should I wait for it to stablize? If it doesn't stabilze after, say 30 mins, does it mean the ballast or bulb is bad?

The worse part is, as soon as my light is turned on, my lcd flickers with it. Without the light being on, the lcd works just fine. Can someone help me please? I thought I was close to finishing the projector, and now this :bawling:

I have tried almost everything, isolate the LCD and the light with sheet matel, different power socket, putting LCD far away from light/ballast, you name it, nothing works, as soon as I turn on the light, it flickers and then LCD flickers with it.

HELP HELP HELP!!!!!

I don't know if this helps or not, but I have a commercial projector (Infocus SP4805) and during the first 100hrs or so of bulb use, I had a bit of "pulsing". Not very frequent, just now and then. Apparently this is normal and goes away after the first 100 or so hours of use with a new bulb. I don't know if the bulb you're using is subject to this phenomenon, but maybe putting a bit of time on it may help.

What is interesting though is the LCD flickering too... What kind of flickering does it do? Does it go completely black? And is the flickering synchronized with the bulb flickering? Very strange.

I have run this bulb less than 5 hours, but I think the frequency which it flickers is abnormal, it kinda flickers at least twice per second, I mean it is quite often that I can't ignore it.

Yeah, the lcd and the light both flickers in sync. The lcd would flickers as if the picture were chopped by vertical wihite lines and sometimes it would go blank for a really sort time and the picture comes back (kinda like bad reception, but I was using composite video from a game console).
I figure the light flickering would be the source of this interference, so I should find out y my light flickers.

Thanks for the idea, but I've already tried that. I now only have power to the ballast, but the light still flickers (even after 30 mins of warm up time). It does the same thing to my 2 NEW bulbs. Hate to give up now, but don't have the $$$ to buy another ballast, unless I could find a cheap magnetic one, like ~$35.
