So to start off I've been trying to connect a system in a 2002 Dodge Stratus for a couple of days now. When I first put it in it all seemed to be working fine except the fact that there was no sound coming from the subs. At first I had my to subs bridged but since there was no sound I thought that might have been the problem, so I unbridged them. When I started up the deck the amp would turn on and off constantly. I then bridged the subs again and started the deck but now the amp won't turn on again. I've checked my wires over and over again but can't seem to find where the problem is. Could there be something I'm missing? It is a 1000w 4 channel audio pipe AP-1004

You need to confirm that you have sufficient power supply voltage. With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red probe alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts on either the B+ or remote line, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low. If 'both' the B+ and remote turn-on lines are low and your battery is fully charged, you may have a bad ground connection.
it does sound like its a low voltage problem or bad grounding

He is talking about upgrading your wire sizes under the hood But you dont need to do all that for 1 amp.. So dont worry about any of that..
Do as Perry suggests and get a volt meter and check the voltages at the amp and post ack with your results..
