i have an amp using 8 k227 & 8 j83 mosfets some have damaged but finding replacements is hard is their a sub that i could use because i love the amp
To substitute transistors, we need to know the application. i.e. the brand and model number of your amplifier, receiver etc. If it's a hobby magazine design, the year of publication and title would make it possible to identify. So if you can provide this information, perhaps with the power supply voltages to the amplifier and the specified 8 ohm output power rating, someone may be able suggest what is possible with some assurance that it will work properly.
there have not been many amp with these mosfets and even less with double push pull, suddenly, I look for a Rauch amp.
Apparently, they are early plastic versions of 2SK135 and 2SJ50. They have a wide backplate with 2 mounting bolts, something like MT200 width, rather than current TO3P, TO256 and TO247 style components that use only 1 bolt mounting.
Possibly, and if they are still available, 2SK1058/2SJ162 or ECX10N20/ECX10P20 could be substituted by drilling new mounting holes but higher rated parts may be necessary in this application. I just checked Profusion PLC's website and their Audio Mosfets section has a speed error (6019) message...hmm.

OK, I tried another route and all is OK at Profusion......The price however, is ₤5.17 each + postage, so this isn't going to be cheap. No, don't try cheap fakes in the hope of repairing something - it doesn't work either when you find there is a Hexfet type instead of a Lateral type mosfet inside the package

ok,cool on my side of the earth, the k1058 were no longer in the catalog in Profusion.
