Need help with this guitar junction box system

I recently designed a junction box system for the 4-cable method of routing a guitar and effects to an amp and fx loop. It's designed to work just like any junction box (by just connecting the input directly to the corresponding output in the back). However, I added a switch which allows you to take all effects out of the fx loop of the amp and routing them in series with the other effects and have them all go in front of the amp, bypassing the fx loop.

This is the simple design.

It works, but it makes a lot of noise (just like a guitar that is not grounded). I know it is probably a design flaw that causes ground issues, but can't figure out what it is and how to solve it. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Then it may be a grounding problem, or incompletely enclosed. Not shown on your image.

No you didn´t.

You said

You mentioned a **design** issue, which by definition may never work, even if you follow design/schematic/plans to perfection.

What PRR mentioned is something which may happen with a perfect design, but poorly or wrongly implemented.
Very different concepts, and solved in different ways.

To boot he added a new idea:
or incompletely enclosed.

The enclosure is entirely closed all around. Unfortunately that isn't the problem. Strange that the image can't be opened by some :scratch2:

Sorry if my last comment translated a bit disrespectful. It was late at night here and I had a stressful week. I wasn't really thinking straight.
Thanks for the suggestions so far!

This is strange: I opened it up to go through it again with my multimeter. Found nothing off normal again, closed it back up and now it works perfectly fine.
All solder joints are solid, but I'll check them a 5th time haha.

Anyways, thanks for the help!
