Hi all.
In a weak moment (Jaegermeister) I bought a pair of Sony LA500ED spekaers with SMSL 98E amp.
I was intrigued by the magnesium enclosure and the 35kHz tweeter... I dont know how much true these specs are....
Anybody have any experience with them? They weigh a ton compared to they size. Sound is also not too bad. I only had a quick listen of Mike Oldfields Sentinel in 24bit 96 kHz FLAC. Was surprised by the highs and the dynamic when listening from 4-5feet away.

well after some listening...I have to say, they sound rather pleasant. High nice, crisp and not too forward or harsh. In nearfield there is even bass. I am sitting about 3ft away, and don't miss any low tones. Not yet actually. Listening to various artists in 96-192kHz samples....

Lets see what will happen if I crank up the volume and play some complex music. Tomorrow will give it a try. Its too late for some loud music....
