Nagaoka design for FE208EZ (new Sigma)

I have a new pair of FE208EZ waiting for an interesting design.

However, I'm not sure whether Mr. Nagaoka has designed anything around these, since it seems he passed away but I don't know when.

Can anyone state the compatibility of the new FE208EZ with any of his designs ?

As far as I can tell, the D58-ES was designed for a previous version of the FE208. Can someone confirm or deny this ?

Regards,

Gert

I have the books and I'll do my best to explain although I guess my japanese is as bad as yours....

The D-58 ES was designed for the FE208ES (which is not the same as the FE208E Sigma that is ofthen called FE208EZ)
The FE208ES is a giant thet weighs in at over 10kg.

FE208ES: Fs=40Hz, M=15g, Qts=0.1!!!, 99dB, 40Hz-13kHz

There is also the D-58 which is made for the FE208SS which is a little bit lighter than the ES at 7.3kg.

(6N) FE208SS: Fs=45Hz, M=12g, Qts=0.15, 99dB, Fs-20kHz

There is also another one, (6N) FE208 %&# (those are japanese characters😉 ) I GUESS this one is also called FE208S
FE208 %&#: Fs=45Hz, M=12g, Qts=0.18, 98dB, Fs-20kHz

The FE208 E Sigma has
FE208EZ: Fs= 42Hz, M=13.3g Qts=0.18, 97dB, Fs-14kHz
(which is very close to the FE208 %&#)

This is what goes with what:

D-3 II FE206 Sigma
D-3 Mk II.1 FE208 E Sigma
D-55 FE208 S
D-57 FE208 S or FE208 (plain)
D-58 FE208 SS
D-58ES FE208 ES

I hope I got it all right now.

Peter
