I have replaced the mechanism with a new SF-P101n, but still have a problem. When a disc is inserted it takes it in ok, spins for a second and shows "no disc".
The laser doesn't move at all.
With the original mech the laser moved about but the disc just moved back and forth a little then showed "disc error".
I have replaced the 16 pin ribbon but no improvement.
Tried another new mech, incase the 1st was faulty, but just the same.
I would appreciate any help to fix it. Thanks.
