have a look for Leestereo on audiokarma, he has a number of detailed posts on the NAD 3020 capacitors and other imporvements
Thanks guys.
Yes, I was hoping that someone might have a parts list to hand just to save me some effort and provide a head start. Lee has provided some truly excellent advice, insights and up to date examples but I just couldn't find a parts list amongst his threads.

It may surprise you that NAD3020A doesn't have its own service manual or parts list to refer to, when all later revisions and models models do. It's really a re-issue model with some minor revisions but in general it's the same electrically as 3020 and you can find a service manual with full parts list at hifiengine.com or any manual library that just copies their donated scans to make advertising revenue for themselves.
If you can't find the capacitors by their descriptions in the relevant sections of the parts lists of that service manual, you ain't trying: NAD 3020 Stereo Integrated Amplifier Manual | HiFi Engine

Hey Ian thanks very much for sending the link and providing some background, appreciated!
My skill level is at a stage where I'm happy to recap, but am sometimes unsure which cap types are best suited as replacements and especially when the first choice might not be in stock.. I just want to be confident that I'm at least maintaining, if not upgrading the circuit. If someone with more competence has already repopulated a board it would be a great starting from which I could commence the project. For instance, looking at an original untouched board, can one say that all the lavender coloured caps would be best replaced with Nichicon FG? (I've owned this 3020A from new.) I especially want the pre-amp and phono sections to be at their best for playing vinyl as I intend to connect it to a Yamaha P2200 powering Celestion Ditton 66's.
