Other Rubanoide posts on this forum inspired me to undertake this little project that has consumed almost as much money as time. I'm still refining the design, but quite happy with their performance.
Putting the N42 Nd magnet cores together was terrifying. Certainly more than enough force to crush every bone in my hand, were I so careless. The speakers are pretty efficient; above 1/2 volume on my Poddwatt is painful.
A recent dumpster find yielded a large-format printer that required minor repairs. The two close-ups are the products - one membrane sporting Jupiter's awesome atmosphere and the other sand dunes on the surface of Mars.
Cheers and thanks for the great posts!

Simply fantastic looking!! Well done.
Would love some shots of the magnets and coils in construction. In fact give us all the gory details as I'm sure there are plenty of us trying to decide how to build these.

Hello snot,
Congrats. They look pretty nice. Same thing here with the money... Try the things from the ruba thread (cuts, laq), and you will be amazed how it will sound then. 😉

You're welcome and hope you will find what you want soon. I'm glad that others followed our thread.
I finished my membranes but l'm still at the frame cosmetics chapter (paint, rods, finishing touches and bigger input cables).
Cheers
Ps: can you plase post some pics of how you arranged your magnet motor? I'm curious.

Nice !
@snotwagon
Did you do any measurements on your rubanoids up to now ?
And what is shown besides Jupiter on the right one ?
