I think that the design does match the chip amp idea. I use chip amps in my secondary systems, and could see this in the office or bedroom!
I didn't mean to offend. It looks like a VERY attractive toaster!
I have restored many "antique" radios including some bakelite sets from the 40s. It has a similar styling, but I think it would be more 40's radioish if the sharp corners of the heatsink were rounded to match the front panel. It would also be a lot easier on body parts that accidentally come into contact with the corners of the heatsink fins.
A lot of the classic radios from those days had a smaller width at the bottom opening to a larger width at the top. The speaker would be front and center or top and center so the knobs would be arranged around the speaker or in a linear fashion above the speaker if it were front mounted and in front of it if it were top mounted. They also tended to use small, rounded knobs, sometimes maddeningly small.

Thanks for your advices I_Forgot,
I was thinking to rounded the heatsink bottom and top to fit with the front panel like you say,and make smaller knobs,thoses are 50mm for the volume and 35mm for the 2 below the volume knob stanby and mute.
But not easy to please every one with a retro desing like this!

hey now, vintage toasters are cool looking!! 😀 It does look like a vintage tabletop radio, which is very neat. That must have taken a lot of metal work?
12 hours of metal work for the prototype,but i buy the heatsink separately .That save me i lot of time!😉

Your claim for this amp:

It's a little exagerated I think. You have to bridge two 3886s to get to that power. With a single chip, even at 4 ohms you won't get there.
If you are rating it for 2 ohms, it's not too valid.

I see something in it from the Quad 33/303 series.
My congratulatiosn mean nothing ofcourse, i am not a professional but i am very interested in case you get this commericalized!
