I just picked up a Diamond Monster MX400 on ebay for my HTPC. I got the card and quickly discovered that the drivers for windows 2000 does not suport Spdif output. So I setup a dual boot machine Windows 2000/ 98SE. I installed the drivers in 98SE, however I can enable the card to output a PCM stream of right/left--But when I do to play a dvd, The Spdif output option is not enabled, and it says I in fact do not have spdif support. I have tried both power and win dvd, and both report the same problem. Any advice?
err umm, what are your system specs?
MX400 was discontinued for awhile now, not gonna have much luck.
My suggestion would be to pick up a revo and stay as far away from creative products as possible.

no don't stay away from reative products, they did not make the mx400
My suggestion is to put the mx400 up for sale, get whatever you can get for it, and then buy an sb live or augidy
sb live value's are pretty cheap now
