Anyone familiar with this Kriesler turntable?

It's made in Taiwan, perhaps by some company that has bought the old Kriesler radiogram brand..
I bought it from internet auction, and found the music is slightly slower than it should be. It's belt driven and runs off from a powerpack adapter (doesn't look original to the turntable). It has two speed options 33, and 45. No fine adjustment.
My feeling is that the belt is loose or the voltage from the powerpack is slightly lower than it should be.
Really, what else can go wrong with a turntable??

If it was originally designed for the US or Japanese market, where the power is fed at 60Hz, and has a synchronous motor, and you live in a country where the frequency is 50 HZ, then the turntable will run at 5/6th of the expected speed.
If this is the case your options are to either build a separate 60Hz psu or to change the pulley to one 20% bigger.
