Hi i,m looking for output and power suply transistors (part numbers) for this amp, i would appreciate your help.
If you want the original part numbers, contact MTX. Check the power supply gate resistors before emailing/calling them. They often burn when the PS FETs fail.
thanks P B. but this is an old school amp that came to me with these missing parts, and i would like to know what can i use as a replacement to make it work just taking the easiest way.
I don't know what you have on hand. IRF3205s should be OK in the power supply. In the larger amps, the IRF540 and the IRF3415 were good for the outputs
If that was a reply to 'I don't know what you have on hand.', I was referring to the transistors that you have without having to order.
You can use irf3205 with 47ohm gate resistors.
You must replace all power supply fets, so, replace all gate resistor with new.
now i notice that the power suply is runnng hot at idle without playing any music,i do not know if it is normal on this amplifier or not, and gets much hotter when playing music, may be there is something else wrong but i don't know what.
