Trying to locate some of these... digikey has the "Z" version in stock, but none of the "N". Which style is in this amp? I'm almost certain they are N seeing as the cover says "Pure N channel design", but just wanted to be certain I'm ordering the right part. The part number on the transistor only says IRF540...
Any place else I can get IRF540N's in stock?
Thanks guys.

If the originals didn't have the 'N' suffix, I wouldn't use them. I'd suggest the IRF540A of the IRF540 with no suffix except PBF.

O.K. thanks Perry. Glad I asked, lol. The transistor has the IR logo on it. Nothing about being PBF.
It appears that Gerber has the actual IR 540's. I might just order them or is the A version a better upgrade? Thanks for the link.

I don't think the 540A is an upgrade. I use them simply because I've never had a problem with them. The IRF540Ns can cause problems in some amps. I haven't tried all of the other versions in all of the amps I've repaired. The 540A has been safe. I think the original IRF540 (no suffix) is also safe.
