Did someone here succeed in using a MOTU 8A with a Linux PC? I want to use the MOTU just as an 2 channel audio interface with REW, not for mixing. Preferably with Ubuntu, another Linux or Windows will do as well, as long it runs within VirtualBox.

That said it seems Motu and Linux is not very stable and what i've gathered and it stay like that until kernel 5.11 is released ( so it won't be solved for your model with previous release).
But this is what i've read i've no real life experience about it, but knowing Motu it doesn't surprise me ( they were mac oriented and win integration wasn't very stable early 2000. It took several years (5/6 iirc) to have stable systems under win).
Being semi pro/pro they probably have less interest for linux.
