I need help comparing two different mosfets. The application is a Nixie tube SMPS. The 2SK3772-01 is really hard to find. The IXFP36N30P3 is still available. Both are TO-220 parts. I've attached both pdf's and the schematic. I did look and they seem close but was hoping someone could look them over and see if there was something I'm overlooking.

Why not use the IRF644 that's called out? The IRF644PBF is a current Vishay part that's available at Mouser for $1.45. The "PBF" simply means Lead Free, but it's functionally the same part.
BTW, before Ron Dekker (in NL) developed his uTracer he was nixied -- has some very interesting circuits: Flyback Converters for Dummies

Sorry, I didn't give all of the information. There is a high current version that the author experiments with. It calls for a couple of parts substitutions including the Fet.
Thanks for the link Jackinnj.
