Mosfet comparison (differences)

Dear all,

can somebody help me what's the difference between following Exicon lateral mosfets ?

- ECF20N20
- ECW20N20
- ECW20N20-Z

I'm just wondering: are these basically the same except packaging, or do you see some real advantage(s) in one of them compared to the others ?

I haven't checked their "P" counterpart yet.

I think F is metal while W is plastic. And Z is without diode protection on gate-source.

I don't have the answer to that. But I think, for audio it doesn't make big difference as we have specific low Vgs in mind. But if protection (even during handling) is important then the zener is handy. The question is of course, what is the benefit of having no built-in protection if we operate the mosfet at low Vgs. Well, may be smaller capacitance?

It depends how the zener is done, if it is an extra die rather than just a bond out option, it would have affected the price in volume

Help finding 2SK1058 replacement for B&K Avr 307.

Hello guys! I am new to this forum and i need help replacing 2 lateral n channel mosfet model # 2sk1058 for my B&K avr 307 receiver. I bought some units from ebay but got scammed they were fake! But at the same time i am confused because the Service manual schematic for the b&k avr 307 shows different symbols for the 2sk1058 and the data sheet from Hitachi/Renesas is different as well. I could really appreciate any help on finding a replacement match, Thank you very much.
