When you download it and have it open, go to options, connect and IRC network, select any DALnet server. When you connect to the server in the status window type /join #diyprojector.

I have not for the life of me been able to get identd to work since I got a Linksys router. Yes, I know about port triggering and forwarding, but I still have never been able to get it to work.

I wish I could help you out there. Have you tried checking and unchecking all the options in mIRC. I sure would like to chat with some people about diy projectors. It would beat refreshing the forum waiting for the next great post, only to find out that it is some newbie asking if anyone has ever tried using an overhead projector and lcd panel. Well, I will be out of town for awhile, but when I get back I hope that everyone has made some progress with their projects. And incase anyone is confused about the name of the chat room it is #diyprojector (no period at the end).

I was thinking about getting involved in a projector design and talking to some experienced people in the matter......But....as Spinnaker stated I guess "newbies" are not welcome....and Here I thought that questions were a good thing>???

lifter forward port 113 udp and tcp to your local ip address and ident will work. Im in there 24/7 but im not always sitting by my comp.

If anyone would like to chat about diy projectors stop by #diyprojector. When I log on to check the forum, I usually also log onto #diyprojector incase anyone shows up. It would be great if we could have some conversations in the chat room where people could voice new ideas.

Is anyone willing to do that? I think that if we get some people in the room that are serious about talking about diyprojectors it would be productive.
BTW....
This does not mean that I will not be joining #diyprojector regularly to see if anyone wants to chat. If ace3000_1 or anyone else comes up with another chatroom that people join, I will join that one. Until then, I hope to chat with you soon on mIRC #diyprojector.

I've been on #diyprojectors a few times and every time it was empty...
Why don't we set up a daily time for #diyprojectors chat...Maybe 2pm Eastern Standard North American time...
That way if anybody wants some chat, we know a time every day that there is the most likelyhood that somebody else will be in the room...?

I am not sure if that would work for people that work during the day. I ususally get home about 3:00 EST. But, when I do get on to check forum I usually logon to mIRC, and if anyone wants to get my attention when I am surfing the web or reading the forum, all you need to do is double click my nickname on the right hand side of the chat window. That will open up a private chat and when you send it, it will ring me, and I will know that you are there. I will be back on later today.
P.s. Make sure you have the right chat room its #diyprojector not #diyprojectors

I'll rpolly be on for a while now tht I know of a place to go to... If people actually want top do this though, lets decide on ONE room so that all of the peopl ecan be in the same room bieng more productive...

Heh we should.......... with mirc we can learn alot more from each other........ We should set it up an official channel...... Well I really think alot of people is too lazy to install a mirc client or something hehehee 😱 Maybe a java link mirc for those lazy people......
