Hello to all speaker builders.
First of all, I would like to introduce myself. Coming from croatia, built a couple of twoo way speakers following projects from the net.
My last project is monacor sp200x in app. 50 liter box tuned to 40 Hz.
Since I do not know much about crossovers, zobel, notch filter, would appreciate if someone help me what do I need to linearize response of monacors in this box because mids are pesky and flagrant.
Here's a pic.

You might want to use something like this as a guide / starting point http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/SP200.htm
Thanks for your answer, already have read this project even before I bought the drivers.
But I wanted to keep it simple because I thought it would be more opened and linear, considernig the potentiality of driver to the 12-15 k, but this sentence confused me:
".... It's possible to add a series notch filter to smooth the response in the treble region and 0.82 mH\\2.5 uF\\10 ohms (all in parallel) make a nice and smooth response from 1-10 kHz..."
I must confess that I'm really new in this domain, so would this notch filter resolve awful mids and higher bass 'cause vocals are tearing my ears.

There's only so much you can do with a cheap driver, but yes, that should help, although depending on your tweeter you'll probably have to rework it's XO to match.
why don't you try removing the whizzer cone as Troels suggests in his build and add a phase plug..

Because he is running it fullrange unlike troels?

Perhaps this can help ?

they filtered with 1.2 mH + 12 Ohm + 3 uF and added (glue) a SPM90 in opposite phase, seems to add some energy in the highs...
