Hi
I rec'd a set of these completely dead - well not quite.
The set only came with one tweeter but this was o/c when measured with MMeter.
Does anybody know characteristics/datasheets for these tweeters?
I have tried Mission but they were unable to help.
I have looked at a set of replacement tweeters from a set of Mission 782 on eBay.
From the pictures, they appear to have the same physical footprint but
I have no information on these drivers either.
I contacted Mission but they do not have the M73 tweeter parts ex. stock.
What they do have is the bass/mid units.
Both of those as orig. rec'd had the voice coil detached from the cone but I
could get a reading of just above 3 ohms from these even so.
Strangely, the loudspeaker is badged as an 8 ohm speaker but it may be, even
so, the bass/mid units are 4 ohm types - dunno - advice?
Can anyone confirm the measurement of these units out of circuit?
This would help considerably.
Whilst I will exercise the option to purchase 2 of new bass/mid units,
as an project, I will attempt to re-cone both of the supplied parts
that came with cabs. To these ends, I will try to obtain the correct
size spider and voice coils as I have been able to remove the cone
without damaging it.
Any help appreciated
Thanks for your consideration
