mission 780 drive units?

If you mean these:

The tweeter should be a Vifa D19TD

I am not so shure about the woofer, but i belive i heard somewhere that it as from Peerless in India

This may not help... I have a pair of Mission M70s. The mid/woofer drivers are mission proprietary I believe (the tweeter is a Vifa). Can you open them up and post some photos of the back plate / any other markings if not obvious?

The 780, IIRC uses a custom built midbass driver.
I believe they were built by Audax. I ditched my pair a couple of years ago but remember the code on the magnet being very similar to the Audax style of code.
Probably wrong but I vaguely remember AP130 xxx something or other!! Plastic frame and similar Phase plug as well.
I remember being a little disappointed when looking...

This is getting confusing, in fact there were two different 780s - the one pictured above from the '90s and the ones from about 3-4 years ago described by stee-b which did, indeed use a custom ('keraform'?) Audax unit. Which ones do you mean?

I've just been in the loft and found the receipt for the replacement driver I purchased - AP130Q.
The part number is/was LFAP1300QK, It cost me £29.19 + Vat and Delivery.
I hope this may be of some use!!
