Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I recently became interested in building a small boombox!! Of course there are many threads on this forum (and on others) and I have read some of them, not all, not completely (the huge boominator thread). I want to build a small boombox that will fit into my backpack dementions l= +/- 30cm h = 10-15 cm w= +/- 15 cm. Here is what I have think of the parts I would wan to use.
SP-13/4 Monacor Universal speakers 40Wmax 4Ω (Link)
ND16FA-6 Dayton 5/8 inch Neodymium Dome Tweeter (Link)
Lepai 2020a+ t class amplifier (link)
Here's my questions
1) any other recommendations?
2) Any crossovers, if so which?
3) Wood thickness? Will the dimensions allow a good sound quality?
extra requirements: relatively low cost<50euros, websites to order from: http://www.europe-audio.com) , (www.amazon.co.uk)
btw: I'm 15 (a noob)
I want to do this project just because it is useful to have a boombox and because I believe it can be a great learning experience at a relatively low age.
Thank you guys
