Hi,
I am trying to fix a Micro Seiki DQX500 turntable.
The speed is not correct. The red LED is flashing when it should go off when constant speed is reached. It is faulty at 33 and at 45.
I have found the users manual but not the service manual.
Does somebody has the service manual or had a simular problem pleas let me know.
I need info on how to check and hopefully repair this unit.

I have the same problems with my dqx 500, but only at 45....

Seems to be a problem of the old Micros , then .
I found an exteriourly perfect MR-711 and i did all the re-capping in the electronics . But the problem is still there . It just settles at the right speed after many tries ( hand spinning 🙂 )
And sometimes I hear some pitch variations due to hard tracking !

The problem is that I don't know how to fix it, I think it is an easy fix...
What we need is a service manual, It is a fault in the electronic system, without manual we can measure nothing.
It seems mechanically but it is not, of course when you put more pressure the system can't control the speed anymore cause of the fault in the electronic speed control.
If somebody is out there who has a service manual or a link, would be a great help.

I have a jvc QL10 as a back up and the thing would all of a sudden just start spinning real fast and you would have to shut it off.
There is way to much electronics in this unit to even know where to begin.
Pulling every connection, cleaning, Dexoit on everything, and that cured it for this unit.
Maybe on the Micro you have a similiar connections?
If all else fails you could make it a belt drive for not to much money and probably get better sound overall
I hope you fiqure out the problems as the Micro's were very nice tables and worth preserving

I tried all that, one of the components must be gone, or the alignement, is gone wrong.
Without instructions on measuring to be able to see what goes wrong I am not going far..

There is lots of incredible information on this forum, but seems that there are not so many Micro's still used?
