Michel Gyrodec

I was just rooting around on the web today and noticed that the Gyrodec prices have gone through the roof. A basic Gyrodec with a bog standard Rega sourced arm and an MM cart sells for £3499 now but most are at £4500. Thats up £2000 from where they were 5 or 6 yrs ago. What is going on? I just wonder if Michel have woken up to the fact the Gyrodec was under-priced?

The Audio-Technica phono cartridge that I have has tripled in price over the past two decades. The pricing strategy seems to have shifted from "no-one wants vinyl" to "vinyl is the hot new item (again)". 😉

It’s just the late stage of any other collector, high-end niche. People who remain in those markets need no convincing, have disposable income and appreciate quality objects.
