Here's my situation:
I have a ballast (transformer+cap, no ignitor) and a MH bulb in a Mogul socket. The ballast has a 120V and 2 common wires.
I have the lamp wire from the capacitor connected to the black wire of the lamp.
The white wire from the lamp is connected to one of the COM's and then to the white wire from my plug.
I have one of the common's from the transformer connected to the green wire from my plug.
I have the black wire connected to 120V on the transformer.
When I go to plug this in, the breaker trips and I have to go reset it. There's no hum or anything, it happens immediately. What is wrong with this setup? 🙂

Well, I figured as much. Any suggestions on where to check? I'm using a metal screw to connect the mogul socket to the wooden base I'm using, does this seem like a good place to start? 🙂 Thanks for your help!
