Hi. I wonder if it's possible (or practica) to convert a European (230v 50Hz) Marshall MG15DFX to USA 115v 60Hz. Could it be as simple as replacing the input transformer and supply cable plug?
Sometimes its good to bump the thread as you have. Gets it back in the light. Hopefully you'll get an answer this time.
If you mean input transformer as the transformer that converts the mains to the needed voltages for your amp then the answer is simply yes.
But I am not familiar with this amplifier, it might even be possible that it has a built in voltage selector. Or even a mains transformer with primary windings that can be reconnected for operation on 115VAC.

It looks like the power transformer is a 30V center tap 30 to 50VA.
If you replace the power transformer and the power cord you should be good to go.
Since the schematic does not show a power fuse I would add a .75 to 1A fuse on the AC input lead.

I very much appreciate the help. I also had contacted Marshall who replied that it would be too expensive and I should just buy another amp. Then I searched "voltage converters" and found this website (link below) that might be the cheap easy solution to this problem. Thanks again!
