The hand filing and sanding on the lathe gave me a minor case of the heebie-jeebies, I must say.

Yeah, when the chucks spinning at 1500 RPM, you learn real quick to keep your fingers away from it.😉

Interesting way to make the ball round at 5:00 using a fly cutter. I've never seen it done that way. Normally the CNC lathe does that.

No need to be concerned. It's a decoration and nothing more.

If it was used for play it makes the game more challenging with the off centre weight.
Otherwise it is just a show item to be given as a trophy for winning a competition.
