Merlin VSM-m inductor change

I opened up my Merlin VSM-M and found Hovland laminated inductors. The woofer has a 2.25mh and I would like to know if this is worth upgrading to North Creek Music air core 12GA 2.25mh inductor?
The tweeter has one also, but smaller value and in parallel with the tweeter. All caps are Hovland too. Any opinions?

Well, reducing coil resistance maybe a mute point. From what I can find, the Hovland 16ga. laminated coils have a DC resistance of appoximatly .25ohms. A 12ga. North Creek air coil will have a DC resistance of about the same (.25ohms). My question is will the 12ga. air coil sound better then the Hovland laminated coil, or am I wasting my time?

I have Merlin VSM-M's X-Over from the internet. Please tell me this X-over is true of VSM-M? tks
