Hi all
I have just aquired a pair of Meridian M2 active speakers's and I love their sound. one develops a 'white noise' type of hiss which gets worse over time.
The hiss is independent of volume setting, and reaches a level after about 10 minutes where it is becoming annoying.
I have researched this forums history and found a similar problem which was resolved by replacing an LF353 op-amp in the crossover.
Would this be a reasonable way to go? Any advice welcome 🙂
Thanks - Gary

Short the input with a dummy zero ohms plug.
Then decide that the "hiss" problem is in the M2 amplifiers and which one. I think there are three in each M2.

Just a quick update; got 3 new LF353N op-amps from RS and fitted then to the small crossover PCB (which is a plug in onto the main board) and all his is gone!
Well chuffed, only cost £1.80 🙂
Anyone needs docs on 101 / 105 / M2 Meridian kit let me know?
