So I loaned my amp to my buddy and I got it back non operational. So I opened it up and it smelled burnt and 4 power supply fets where toasted. So I ordered some in replaced them hooked it up and bam friend another one. So I replaced all of them. Well powered it up with 10amp inline fuse. It immediately popped. So after some tinkering it no longer pops wen powrred up. Now wen your hook up remote bam it pops fuse inline. So I hooked it up with headlight 6054 and limited current to 5 amps. Now it just blinks the red protection light. Im at a lost . Im just beginner but well mechanically inclined. Any suggestions?
you replaced the power supply fets, but did you verify the fets driver was ok?

first of all. do you have the schenatic for this amplifier ? this is almost obligatory to receive any help to fix it. we arent in front on that amplifier after all!
most smps have fets on the switching duty of the power supply.
if you look close of those fet switches (most likely the ones that keep blowing )
you will find smaller transistors (1 or 2) that are connected to the gate of the mosfets.
they supply the needed current for the fets to activate. if they are short they will force the fet to stay ON, if ever for some reason both fets turn on at the same time. BOOM. fets gone.
you need to verify these transistors are ok to make sure fets are not constantly driving.
also there will be 1 or 2 chips that will controll the switching . you need to make sure this is also functionnal.
