Is it possible to measure the response of a woofer, or of a complete system, as can be done with a UMIK-1, but with an imm-6, and using REW?
Hi,

You can check VituixCad manual too.
That said you might encounter issues with diffraction with your rig ( tablet).
But for close measurement it should be ok.

By pressing 'measure' button in rew screen. After you set it up and adjust levels first. How?
You got laptop with rew downloaded?
I see you started quite a number of threads. Perhaps you should read about rew first. Its free, and its pretty intuitive, no manual needed, unless you need to perform some complicated calculations.
You do not need calibrated microphone, most of the electret mics are very flat on lower range. Typically there is little hump in upper frequencies before the dive. Calibration files correct for this hump. But for woofers you should be fine without calibration file. Rew will ask you if you have it, just in case. Post results.
Good luck.

I didn't know that, isn't a calibrated microphone necessary? So I can do it with any type of microphone?I see you started quite a number of threads. Perhaps you should read about rew first. I see you have not read what i wrote. And you have not replied to questions about laptop and rew.
I'm sorry. If I read the answer, you said that a calibrated microphone was not necessary. And yes, I do have a laptop with REW installedI see you have not read what i wrote. And you have not replied to questions about laptop and rew.
Btw, there is much simpler software available, free, called Holm Impulse. Has much less features, but basic stuff is there.
Do you know of any video tutorial, or post, or whatever, that teaches how to do it, it would be the first time I've done itThan you have all you need
Interesting, there is not that much difference, except in the bass. Will it work the same with any microphone?
