Is it possible to matrix decode (dolby prologic I) with tubes? I'm staring at a beautiful 4-pack of 6BN11's (your recommendation) and a Yamaha RX-V850 Dolby Reciever.

If not, is it possible to build a 2 channel preamp out of 9 identical pentodes (still got that 11BQ11...) without a coupling transformer at all?
