can anyone here provide specifications and dimensions on this transformer MD SM 102b . I believe it is a German manufactured double E type. I would like to know what size the center leg is. I have searched and can not seem to get this information.
Thanks Tad

That is the application I just need to know the physical deminsions of the bobbin or center leg.

Tad,
MD SM102b does not exist as far as I know.
It is either SM102b, which is a double c-core configuration, or it is MD 102b, which resembles an EI configuration (however not lossless with separate E's and I's).
Core dimensions are not quite the same because of the better efficiency of the c-cores type, but winding geometry/space is the same as these cores should be interchangeable.
Winding height is 17 mm; centerleg width is 68 mm.

Pieter,
And I guess the leg lenth is 102? I am trying to get this as accurate as I can. The cost of copper wire makes mistakes rather expensive.
Thanks Tad

For the c-cores SM102b, yes the leg length is 102 (what's in a name...); actually 103 according to my data; for the MD 102b the leg length is 120 mm (that's the difference in core efficiency).
A double c-cores SM102b weighs 2,64 kg; an MD 102b some 3 kg.

Thanks Pieter now I have some deminsions to start with. The core I ordered are almost exactly this spec. Sometimes you get lucky. Now to slow down my lathe and start winding.
I have been seriously thinking on designing some kind of pcb for this amp. That will most likely stress my old brain.
