I have a McIntosh MC2205 that started blowing fuses on the spot. When I pulled the bottom cover off I found a capacitor that goes between the power input and the fuse was pretty much destroyed.
There's no indication of type or value on it. Anyone know what I should replace it with?
Thanks

Why would you post that in "Everything Else"? Solid state would suit it better.
Anyway, here's a link to the service manual: http://akdatabase.org/AKview/albums/userpics/10004/MC2205 Service.pdf
Which capacitor do you mean? From your description it is a bit unclear. Can you post a picture (or maybe even several)?

Sorry, didn't seem specific to solid state; looks like it wasn't a cap at all but a thermister. Thanks for the link.
